Based in Spokane, Maggie R. Schott provides clients throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho with legal assistance in a range of Social Security matters. She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was a part of the Law Women’s Caucus, the Public Interest Law Association and the Unemployment Law Clinic. She was also a semi-finalist in the Falknor Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Ms. Schott was selected for a Goldmark Equal Access to Justice internship in 1998, where she gained valuable experience as a Welfare Advocacy Intern for the Fremont Public Association in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Schott completed her schooling and graduated in 2000, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar that same year.

For years Ms. Schott has focused her legal practices on issues of welfare, low-income, unemployment compensation and even domestic violence. Following her Goldmark internship she worked as a Rule 9 Legal Advocate for the University of Washington Unemployment Law Clinic, where she counseled and represented claimants in unemployment compensation hearings. Before starting the Law Office of Maggie R. Schott, PLLC, Ms. Schott also served as a citation hearing officer, a law clerk and a contract attorney for several distinguished firms and programs.

In 2011 Ms. Schott founded the Law Office of Maggie R. Schott, PLLC on the ideal that clients come first, and that no matter the circumstances, they deserve to be treated with respect. Since then Ms. Schott has dedicated herself to taking a great personal interest in her clients’ needs, and will gladly sit down with them and discuss their issues one-on-one. Her extensive background in welfare advocacy and Social Security Disability law provides her with the essential tools and legal knowledge to help her clients get the disability payments they need.
